Computer
Passphrase
Being a staff at Perimeter Church includes a Microsoft account (username and password). Our policy is to change the passphrase every 365 days to prevent outside sources to login to your account.
- MP password is different than your login password and MP password does not expire
- 16 or more characters
- Incorporate at least:
- 1 symbols
- 1 number
- 1 upper case letter
- 1 lower case letter
- Use a longer sentence or memory to get to the recommended length
- Suggested passwords from your browser
- Don't reuse passwords
- Don't use password for more than one application
- Don't use personal info in your password. (Birthdate, social, etc..)
Reminders
An email gets sent out when your password is about to expire:

.Your Perimeter domain password is required for computer login, remote VPN, and email access. This is not for Ministry Platform or Perimeter.org
Please change your password from the options below:
Note that you will need to have a Perimeter issued computer and be connected to VPN or be Onsite at perimeter.
From a Perimeter issued workstation: (onsite or logged on to VPN)
- From a Windows computer, press Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Change a password.
- From an Apple computer, click the Apple symbol go to "System Preferences" then "Users & Groups" and select "Change Password".
Note: Changing the password on a Mac, it will not prompt you that the password was changed, but it will if there is an error.
If you are offsite or do not have a Perimeter issued workstation:
Note: The password on the laptop will be the same until you come back onsite.
For your password to be valid it must be 8 or more characters long and contain a mix of THREE of the following FOUR properties:
- uppercase letters
A-Z
- lowercase letters
a-z
- numbers
0-9
- symbols

The date expiring
shows you the date when the password expire on the time that you last changed your password. Ex: if you changed it at 2pm, the password expires on the date shown at 2pm.
If your login password is different than your email password. Contact Helpdesk ASAP.
VPN
VPN is a Virtual Private Network that allows your device be connected to the Perimeter network while being off-campus.
To connect your laptop to VPN, open "Mobile VPN with SSL Client" under the Watchguard folder in the Start Menu or by clicking the "W" icon in the notification area of your taskbar (lower right).
VPN Configuration
- Server - vpn.perimeter.org
- User name - your email address (first name, last initial)
- Password - your network password
- The icon might be hidden and you will need to click the up arrow to see it. Also, you can drag the icon to the notification area so that you can see it at all times.
- Run the program on startup: Right click on the "W" icon and click Properties. Check the box next to "Launch program at startup"

Desk Phones
The current desk phone is called the Avaya 1608-i. Here's a quick reference guide
Voicemail
There are different ways to check your voicemail.
- Pressing the envelope button
- Pressing the corresponding button with the VOICEMAIL label
- On your phone, call 678-405-2511
The default voicemail password is 2580. It will prompt you to create a new one.
Requirements:
- At least 6 digits
- Can't be consecutive numbers (ex:123456)
Call Forwarding
You can setup your phone extension to forward to your cell # if you like.
- Press the corresponding button labeled "Forward To"
- Put your phone number with the 9 beforehand (ex: 9XXXXXXXXXX) and press the corresponding button "OK"
To enable the forwarding, press *01
To disable the forwarding, press *02
You will hear a beep after every command.
